Approximately 80 workers die from electric shock each year while working on electrical equipment or related utility operations. US Federal OSHA has released a new “e-tool” for addressing work hazards and safety practices in the electric power industry. OSHA has put together this tool to help prevent future worker deaths in the power industry. It is designed to inform employers of their obligations under the law and to provide options for the best ways to achieve worker safety.  To check it out at OSHA.gov click here.
