Fifth Anniversary of the British Petroleum Texas City Disaster
This week sees the fifth Anniversary of the the BP Disaster in Texas City, Texas that killed close to 20 people and injury over 170 employees and contractors. This incident should serve as the most recent reminder of why it is critical to have a comprehensive and functioning safety process that addresses equipment and personnel safety. The most tragic thing beyond the death’s that occurred in this incident are the 23 deaths at the same plant over a 30 year period. I will not express other opinions on this tragedy other than to say everyone that works in Industry should watch the video that is linked below.
